Ingredients:
Β½ cup honey
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
~ .1g to .25g RSO/Distillate (Available in Dispensary)
1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and lightly sautΓ© the garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes. Simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly, then whisk in your RSO/distillate until fully dissolved. (RSO mixes best in warmβnot boilingβsauce to preserve potency.)
Set aside to drizzle or toss over the chicken.
π Southern Fried Chicken:
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken (drumsticks, thighs, or breasts, bone-in or boneless)
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp black pepper
Β½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
Marinate: Soak chicken in buttermilk for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight).
Prep Breading: In a bowl, mix flour and all dry seasonings thoroughly.
Bread Chicken: Remove chicken from buttermilk, let excess drip off. Dredge in flour mixture, pressing to coat well. Set on a rack for 15 minutes to rest.
Fry: Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Fry chicken pieces 7β10 minutes per side (or until internal temp reaches 165Β°F), adjusting heat to prevent burning.
Let rest on a paper towel-lined plate.
