๐ Ingredients
For the Sausage Gravy
1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or plant-based)
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
2ยฝ cups whole milk (warm)
2 tbsp butter (or reserved sausage grease)
0.1g to 0.2g RSO or Distillate (pre-measured dose)
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Optional: pinch of garlic powder or crushed red pepper
For the Biscuits
1 can refrigerated biscuits or
8 homemade biscuits (baked according to recipe)
๐ฅ Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked.
Do not drain the fat unless excessiveโthis is flavor gold.
Step 2: Make the Roux
Reduce heat to medium-low.
Sprinkle flour evenly over the sausage.
Stir continuously for 1โ2 minutes until the flour absorbs the fat and turns lightly golden.
Step 3: Add Milk
Slowly pour in warm milk while stirring.
Bring to a gentle simmer.
Cook 5โ7 minutes, stirring often, until thick and creamy.
Step 4: Infuse the Gravy
In a small bowl, melt the 2 tbsp butter.
Stir in your measured RSO or distillate until fully dissolved.
Remove gravy from heat and gently fold in the infused butter.

Step 5: Season
Add salt, black pepper, and optional spices to taste.
Step 6: Serve
Split warm biscuits in half.
Smother generously with infused sausage gravy.
